The R2 halogen lamp with a rating of 12V 45/40W and a P45t base (corresponding to ECE R2 classification, common model numbers such as OSRAM 64183 and Philips 12620) is a classic halogen light source for automotive dual-beam headlamps. It has a rated voltage of 12V and adopts a P45t three-claw screw-in base (also often marked as P45t-41). The dual-power design assigns 45W to the low beam and 40W to the high beam. Complying with road vehicle lighting specifications such as ECE R37 and SAE/DOT, it is compatible with the dual-beam headlamps of the vast majority of passenger cars and commercial vehicles, and is a common R2 model corresponding specification for H4 bulbs.

It adopts halogen cycle technology combined with a dual-filament structure. The quartz glass lamp body is equipped with UV protection, which is high-temperature resistant and can effectively block ultraviolet rays. The lamp body has a diameter of approximately 17mm and a length of about 82mm. The P45t three-claw base ensures accurate positioning, allowing quick screw-in and stable locking into the lamp fixture during installation. It is compatible with the switching mechanism of dual-beam lamps and can be replaced without professional tools. Its 45W low beam delivers a luminous flux of about 1030lm, while the 40W high beam provides around 675lm, with a permissible luminous flux deviation of ±15%. With a color temperature of approximately 3200K and natural color rendering (CRI≥80), it can provide clear road lighting and good object recognition. In terms of lifespan, the B3 standard lifespan is about 250 hours for the 45W low-beam filament and 400 hours for the 40W high-beam filament. Under proper usage conditions, the TC lifespan can reach 500 hours and 1200 hours respectively. It has excellent shock resistance and voltage fluctuation resistance, capable of adapting to the complex working conditions during vehicle operation. This lamp can realize quick switching between high and low beams via the vehicle switch, making it a mainstream universal specification for road vehicle headlamps. It features strong versatility and high cost-effectiveness, and is widely used in original equipment matching and aftermarket replacement scenarios for various mass-produced passenger cars and commercial vehicles.
