The “PZ20D” in its designation precisely describes its physical interface: it is a single-tab, high-pressure discharge lamp style bayonet base with an alignment slot. While it may resemble bases used for some HID bulbs, the H12 (PZ20D) is a halogen technology bulb designed for high-wattage (55W) fog light use. Its existence reflects manufacturers' customized requirements for specific lamp housing space, optics, and electrical interfaces.
